The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea cordially invites you to the 4th Asian Art Museum Directors’ Forum, scheduled to be held from October 20 to October 23, 2009 in Seoul.

The forum will be participated by internationally renowned museum directors, representatives of leading organizations and art museum in Asia as well as museum professionals from Australia. We will discuss the subject of “Art Museum Expansion and Cultural Exchanges in Asia”, which can help us our museum community in Asia come to close relation. It aims to provide a sustained platform for initiating dialogues; for developing a comprehensive network among Asian museums; and for furthering collaboration and joint programming among art museums in Asia. We intend to expand the opportunities for collaboration with art museums in Australia in order to exchange the ideas of collaboration.

For the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea, this year is culturally important. It is not only an occasion to contemplate the future direction of Asian art museums but also a very remarkable opportunity for the museum to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. We do believe that this meaningful forum would be successful as we have your participation.

We look forward to meeting you all in Seoul!
